Telemedicine Consent, Prescription, and State Compliance Policy

Telemedicine Consent, Prescription, and State Compliance Policy

RxION provides convenient, accessible telemedicine services that connect you with licensed healthcare providers from the comfort of your home. To ensure you are informed and protected, this policy outlines our telehealth consent terms, prescription process, and state-specific compliance details.

By using RxION’s services, you acknowledge and agree to the terms outlined below.

1. Telemedicine Consent

By engaging in a telemedicine consultation through RxION, you give informed consent to receive healthcare services remotely. This includes online health assessments, video consultations (where required by law), and communications through secure electronic platforms.

Understanding Telemedicine

• Telemedicine allows you to consult with a licensed healthcare provider remotely via secure technology.

• Some limitations exist with virtual care, including the inability to perform a comprehensive physical examination in person.

• In certain states, a brief video consultation with the provider is required before a prescription can be issued.

Risks and Benefits

• Benefits include convenience, timely access to providers, and efficient treatment.

• Risks may include potential delays due to technology failures or regulatory limitations that require in-person visits for some conditions.

Your Responsibilities

• Provide accurate, complete, and honest information about your health.

• Understand that failure to disclose health details may impact your treatment.

Consent to Treatment

• You voluntarily consent to telemedicine services and understand that treatment decisions are at the sole discretion of the provider.

• Telemedicine services are not appropriate for emergencies. In case of an emergency, call 911.

2. Prescription Policy

RxION’s healthcare providers evaluate your health to determine if a prescription is appropriate. Consultation does not guarantee a prescription.

Prescription Eligibility

• Approval is based on a provider’s clinical judgment and your health information.

• Some patients may not qualify for treatment.

Medication Limitations

• We do not prescribe controlled substances or medications prohibited by telemedicine laws.

• Only medications deemed safe for remote prescribing will be offered.

Pharmacy Fulfillment

• RxION is not a pharmacy. If prescribed, your medication will be sent to a licensed partner pharmacy for fulfillment and shipping.

• You may request prescription transfer to another pharmacy, subject to provider and legal approval.

Prescription Cancellations and Modifications

• Once processed by the pharmacy, prescriptions cannot be canceled, changed, or refunded.

• It’s your responsibility to review and confirm your treatment plan before completing your consultation.

3. State Availability & Compliance

Telemedicine laws and regulations vary by state. RxION ensures that all services are delivered in full compliance with state-specific laws governing telemedicine and prescribing practices.

State Availability

• RxION currently operates in select states where our healthcare providers are licensed to practice telemedicine.

• A list of available states is provided at the time of registration and may be updated periodically.

State-Specific Requirements

• Some states require a video consultation with a provider prior to prescribing medication.

• Certain medications may not be available in some states due to regulatory restrictions.

• You will be informed during the consultation process if RxION services are unavailable in your state or if additional requirements apply.

Regulatory Compliance

• RxION ensures all healthcare providers are properly licensed in the state where you are receiving care.

• We continuously monitor state laws to maintain compliance with telemedicine and prescribing regulations.
